Mushroom Soy Seared Chili Tuna
1 (~8-9oz) Louisiana wild-caught yellowfin tuna steak, Corina Corina Brand
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp Healthy Boy Brand Mushroom Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp sugar
¼ tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp fresh ginger, minced
1 Tbsp sesame chili-infused oil
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
Pat tuna steak dry with paper towel and place in ziploc bag.
Make marinade: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mushroom sauce, sugar, minced ginger, black pepper, toasted sesame chili-infused oil, and Cajun seasoning until sugar is dissolved.
Reserve a 1 Tbsp of sauce mixture and pour remaining mixture over tuna steak and allow to marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat skillet on medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear tuna 1-1 ½ minutes each side for medium rare or 2-2 ½ minutes each side for medium well.
Slice tuna and transfer to a plate. Drizzle with reserved marinade. Garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds and serve.
