A first-time visit to a dentist’s office – other than my own – a couple of months ago not only calmed my usual anxiety but, frankly, changed any preconceived notions of small-town dentistry. At the recommendation of a coworker, I went for a consult at the office of Dr. Adrian Simm and found a hidden gem in a place that wasn’t even on my radar: Delcambre.
I needed to replace an implant – or so I thought – that was only five years old, and was told that Dr. Simm has a reputation for being very gentle and friendly, and (here’s where my ears perked up) charges less than many for implants. I discovered that to be true and so much more.
A dentist for 48 years, Dr. Simm has been in Delcambre since 1981. After running a small practice in Colorado, this New Orleans native wanted to move back to Louisiana and bought a general dentistry practice.

I like that Dr. Simm has stayed at the forefront of dentistry, completing over 4,000 hours of continuing education in advanced dental procedures, including implants. More impressively, it has led him to become a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1996. This prestigious award is the highest level of achievement in general dentistry and oral health, and is given to only one percent of dentists in the United States.
